A Staycation in Santa Barbara

Growing up on The American Rivera, I failed to appreciate the beauty that is Santa Barbara. After college living in Italy, when asked, 'Di Dove Sei' - where are you from, the answer always balked the same response (following the popularity of the soap opera). Ah Santa Barbara, Che Bello.

Santa Barbara is beautiful, the renaissance this beautiful city is currently experiencing is refreshing and promising.

A few favorites:

Lola Santa Barbara, An inspired fashion boutique featuring Bohemian & Beach inspired designers with glimpses of classic everyday pieces. The Founder has worked in fashion for years and the store is adorable.

The Belmond El Encanto, Perfect for drinks with billion dollar views, the grounds are breathtaking as is the interior. Classically Santa Barbara, a must see

The Pickle Room, Located in the former Jimmys Oriental Gardens building (SERIOUS SB landmark), the pickle room opened the past year. With Strong cocktails, a mix of regulars and new picklers find the drinks & small bites menu appealing.

The Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens, located in Mission Canyon (where I grew up), the botanic gardens offers guests miles of walking trails with breathtaking views. Wear your walking shoes, smuggle in a mimosa & enjoy!
